The Grammy awards.

54th Grammy awards

My family and I (my parents, husband, daughter, sister, bro in law, and Andrew) ate popcorn and cinnamon bread while watching the ceremony.

I thought about getting a real fancy dress and showing up at my sisters house to watch (I thought it would be funny) but the only fancy dress I have is my wedding dress and decided not to bust it out! Next year for sure. Your all invited to my dress up grammys partay 2013

It's always a good time when my family gets together. My mom overheard me telling my husband to make that "skrilla" and she asked me what that meant so I told her, make that money. Then she looks at me and says "tomorrow I'm going to work and making that SKWILLA" :) at least she tries.

My brother in law is borderline obsessed with Adele. He's named his cat "Adele" and during her performance I glanced over at him and he was resting his chin in his hands mouthing the words to her song along with Adele. Such a tender moment.

During the Whitney Houston tribute my brother in law turned off all the lights in the house haha.

All while my husband was more interested in taking pictures of everyone and putting "troll" faces on them. (I'll post a picture below.)

I only have one complaint about this years Grammys. And you can call her Nikki. I mean, COME ON? Seriously. That performance was whack. I'm not gonna lie, I was excited to see her perform. She's a little weird but she is a talented rapper. She's pretty legit. But seriously, she ruined the whole show. Heard someone say Stevie Wonder was the luckiest person during her performance. I'd have to agree... He didn't have to see any of that.

Adele did amazing! (of course) I love Adele because she's an incredible singer but mostly because she's just normal. She's beautiful and talented and looks like the average woman in America. She represents well! Go girl.

Jennifer Hudson did a beautiful tribute to the late Whitney Houston. (although I was waiting for her to belt out "AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII EEEE IIIIIIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!!!!") and she didn't. Little sad about that but it was beautiful none the less. Jennifer looked stunning. And my heart is sad for Whitney an her family.

Taylor Swift was cute. It's refreshing to hear a song that isn't about sex and every other word is a swear word. "one day I'll be singing this at the Grammys and all you're ever gonna be is mean"

Carrie Underwood is an all time fav. She's beautiful, has one of the best voices I've ever heard and is just super sweet!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Bruno Mars' performance/style. He did awesome. I dig the old school feel. In the words of my dad "that's just down right enjoyable"

My parents could not WAIT for Glen Campbell. As soon as he started singing Rhinestone Cowboy they were both swaying back and forth singing along with Glen...

A fun time was had by all.
Until next time.
